I'm supporting a client in the search for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into contract terms, managing complex reporting, and taking ownership of month-end responsibilities.

What You'll Be Doing In this role, you'll handle a combination of revenue-related contract accounting, partner payment calculations, and lease accounting responsibilities. Key aspects include:

Contract & Partner Accounting

• Oversee financial reporting and payment processing tied to specific partner agreements
• Interpret contract terms to ensure accurate calculations and compliance
• Prepare monthly reporting packages and analysis for leadership
• Support audit requests and collaborate with partner accounting teams

Lease Accounting (ASC 842)

• Serve as the go-to resource for compliance and reporting requirements under ASC 842
• Review lease-related agreements and ensure proper accounting treatment
• Help maintain and refine internal accounting policies

General Ledger & Close Responsibilities

• Own assigned GL accounts and ensure clean, accurate reconciliations
• Post journal entries for partner activity, AR, month end, and year end
• Prepare supporting schedules and workpapers for close and audit cycles

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
• ASC 842 Lease Accounting experience
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with modern ERP systems
• CPA or prior public accounting exposure is a bonus
